Security Guard Webisa Marvin Remanded to Luzira In diana skyz murder case

A 22-year-old security guard, Webisa Marvin, has been remanded to Luzira Upper Prison following his arraignment at the City Hall Chief Magistrate’s Court on February 12, 2026.

He faces grave capital charges of rape, murder, and aggravated robbery in connection with the shocking death of popular Ugandan TikToker and content creator Diana Namulinde, widely known online as Diana Skyz.

According to police reports and court proceedings, the offenses allegedly occurred on or around February 4, 2026, at Namulinde’s apartment in Kyanja Kwata Zone, Kampala. The young influencer, aged 24, was discovered lifeless in her home, having been strangled to death during what authorities describe as an aggravated robbery.

Webisa, who was deployed as a security guard at the apartment complex through Gibeon Security Systems and resides in Kiwatule Zone, is accused of unlawfully having carnal knowledge of the deceased without consent, murdering her by strangulation, and robbing her of valuables.

Prosecution detailed that Webisa was arrested after being found in possession of numerous personal items belonging to Namulinde, including her iPhone 17 Pro Max, Samsung A15 phone, laptop bag, suitcase, T-shirts, pairs of canvas shoes, flats, 11 pairs of high heels, boots, and other belongings collectively valued at approximately UGX 18,620,000.

The magistrate declined to take a plea from Webisa due to the severity of the capital offenses, deferring the matter to the High Court. He will reappear on March 3, 2026, for further proceedings. Police confirmed that investigations remain active, with efforts ongoing to apprehend other unidentified accomplices believed to be still at large.
