MC Kats Reveals Fille Knew His HIV Status Before They Ever Got Intimate

Media personality MC Kats has finally set the record straight on one of Uganda’s longest-running celebrity controversies: his ex-partner Fille Mutoni knew he was HIV-positive from day one.

In a raw new interview, Kats addressed the backlash he faced after publicly disclosing his status in 2019 and later fathering daughter Abby with Fille. Many accused him of hiding the truth, but he insists the opposite happened.

“I met Fille after I already had the virus. She knew from the very first moment,” he said. “Even before we ever slept together, I asked her straight: ‘What if I pass this to you?’ She told me, ‘Let’s leave it to God.’ That was her choice.”

Kats calls both Fille and Abby his living miracles. “Fille never contracted it, and Abby was born healthy. That’s why I love them so much. Brianna’s mother died from HIV when she was only three — Abby is proof of grace.”

Despite their messy break-up, he still regards Fille as family. “People think I’m stuck on her, but they don’t understand the bond you build surviving that together. When everyone abandoned me, when I was sleeping in my car, she stayed. We’re both dating other people now, but she’ll always be my best friend.”
