Pallaso Joins NUP Fold, Welcomed by Bobi Wine and Joel Ssenyonyi

Singer Pallaso officially joins NUP, greeted by Bobi Wine and Joel Ssenyonyi in Kampala, vows full support for Uganda’s transformation.

Ugandan singer Pallaso, real name Pius Mayanja, made a big move this Monday, September 29, 2025, by joining the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP). He was welcomed at the party’s Kampala offices by NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, and Leader of Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi. Dressed in a sharp red suit, Pallaso shook hands with Bobi Wine, sealing his new alliance.

Pallaso said his choice comes from a strong belief in changing Uganda for the better. “This is our job and our nation,” he stated. “I’m ready to be remembered for something important. The NUP is my party, and you have my support, 100%.”

Bobi Wine praised Pallaso for going public with his decision. “We’re glad to have you in the team,” Bobi said, highlighting Pallaso’s talent and passion. Ssenyonyi also shook hands, showing unity.
