Hollywood actor and renowned R&B singer Tyrese Gibson touched down at Entebbe International Airport on Tuesday morning, launching his highly anticipated visit to Uganda ahead of a scheduled tour of the Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo District.
The Fast & Furious star was received at the airport by Talent Africa Group Chief Executive Officer Aly Allibhai alongside Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) CEO Juliana Kagwa, signaling the high-profile nature of the celebrity visit and its strategic link to promoting Ugandan coffee and international tourism.
Gibson’s arrival has sparked excitement across the national entertainment and tourism sectors as he prepares to headline the upcoming Africa Coffee Marathon events hosted at the expansive coffee hub in Western Uganda.

Organized by the Inspire Africa Coffee Group, the Africa Coffee Park initiative in Ntungamo aims to leverage global star power to draw international spotlight onto Uganda’s coffee heritage, value addition, and local farming communities.
This year’s drive focuses on spotlighting rural coffee producers and using sport, music, and celebrity endorsement to position Uganda as a top-tier coffee tourism destination.
“I am standing in support of empowering rural women and communities in Uganda’s coffee sector—they make it possible for us to enjoy a great cup of coffee,” Gibson previously noted regarding his involvement with Ugandan coffee initiatives.
