President Museveni Bids Farewell to Outgoing Sudanese Ambassador Ahmed Ibrahim

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has officially received the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Uganda, H.E. Ahmed Ibrahim, at State House Entebbe for a farewell audience following the completion of his four-year tour of duty.

During the meeting on Tuesday, Ambassador Ibrahim expressed deep gratitude to President Museveni, the Ugandan government, and the people of Uganda for the warm hospitality and support extended to him and the broader Sudanese community throughout his tenure.

Ambassador Ibrahim noted that he had come to regard Uganda as a second home, specifically highlighting the country’s firm solidarity with Sudan after war broke out in April 2023.

He commended Uganda for opening its doors to thousands of Sudanese nationals seeking refuge, describing the gesture as a true reflection of the enduring friendship between the two nations.

“Uganda’s support during this difficult period will remain deeply appreciated by the Sudanese people and will further strengthen our longstanding bilateral relations,” Ambassador Ibrahim stated.
