Singer Bruno K turned his Ekiboozi TikTok show into a lifeline last night, raising a staggering UGX 15 million for viral star Timothy “Jayden” Kayanja’s urgent bone marrow transplant.
The 24-year-old social media sensation, battling sickle cell disease, recently revealed he needs USD 40,000 (roughly UGX 150M) within three months for surgery in Kenya. Jayden and his younger brother (his matched donor) are set to fly to Nairobi this week for final tests.
Bruno K went live at 10 p.m. with Kasuku, Shalom Kaweesi, and a flood of Ugandan celebrities and fans. By the end of the marathon session, the target counter had soared past UGX 50 million.
“I want to thank every Ugandan who showed up,” Bruno said, voice thick with emotion. “We started late, but the love was instant. Kasuku, Shalom, all of you — we’re not stopping. We’ll keep pushing until Jayden has every shilling he needs.”
