Zedmonk Ssabatontomi wins Best Freestyling at Buganda Youth Day 2025, honored by royal family for blending Luganda proverbs with modern hip-hop.
The vibrant stage of Buganda Youth Day 2025 turned into a lyrical battleground when Kabuubi Akram, better known as Zedmonk Ssabatontomi, claimed the Best Freestyler (Hip-Hop) title.
The award, a celebration of raw talent and cultural depth, was presented by Omulangira David Kintu Wasajja, a respected member of the Buganda Royal Family, who lauded Zedmonk for his unique ability to fuse ancient Luganda wisdom with modern street language.
