Mary Bata left the village with one goal—work. In a raw interview with a local TV Station, she told fans why marriage is off the table. “When I was leaving for Kampala, I was only focused on work. I told my family that’s what I’m doing,” she said. Peers are walking aisles; Mary’s walking stages. If love finds her in the city lights, cool—but music comes first.
Rumors say she’s sworn off men after bad breaks. Mary laughs: wrong. “I have not been with many men. You rarely hear drama about me,” she fired back.

Each short fling taught her one thing—boyfriends = backward steps. “Relationships drive us back,” she said. Dates with hidden agendas stole time from tracks. So she ghosted romance to ghostwrite hits.

“I’m a poor woman who is focused on working,” Mary declared. No inheritance, no shortcuts—just sweat and studio sessions. “Marriage wasn’t part of my dreams. If I need it later, I’ll go for it,” she shrugged.
Right now, every shilling and second feeds her fans the best music. Stepping back from love = stepping up her game.
