Paula alleges she met Jeff in February 2023, when he was a little-known figure using Instagram to fundraise for an alleged orphanage housing 20 children. Jeff claimed the property, supposedly up for sale for $6,000 due to the landlord’s financial woes, would secure beds for children sleeping on the floor. After a year of daily texts, Paula visited Uganda, where Jeff allegedly rented a car and, with a friend, welcomed her at the airport before checking her into Mark and Hill in Mityana.
