Ugandan performing artist and songwriter Laty Wizy has dropped a bombshell, revealing that the latest tracks by Ava Peace, Jowy Landa, and Queen Sheebah all stem from a single song he originally composed. In a shocking twist, Laty Wizy disclosed how a behind-the-scenes deal led to his work being sold to two major artists, stirring up drama in Uganda’s vibrant music industry.

Known for his lyrical prowess, Laty Wizy was gearing up to release a highly anticipated song after months of meticulous video shoot preparations. However, his plans hit a snag when his co-writer, Lyrical Tazzy, urged him to delay the release. “Tazzy told me to pause because he was ‘fixing some things,’” Laty shared. After digging deeper, he uncovered the truth: Ava Peace’s manager, Jeff Kiwa, had purchased the song rights behind his back.
The plot thickened when Laty was invited to Nessim’s studio, where he spotted Sheebah Karungi. To his surprise, the project Sheebah was working on was the same song he had crafted for Ava Peace and Jowy Landa. “It was like a bidding war—whoever offered more money got the song,” Laty explained. Despite being involved in the production of both versions, he chose not to inform Sheebah about the prior sale to Jeff Kiwa, highlighting the competitive nature of the industry.
