Aaronx Tears Up: ‘Njalwala’ Was a Cry for His Sick Mother, Not a Love Song

Aaronx reveals ‘Njalwala’ was written in fear of losing his bedridden mom, not romance.

Singer Aaronx real name Aaron Mukwaya broke down in tears on Deep Talk, confessing that his hit ‘Njalwala’ isn’t a love song at all. “You might think I was singing about love, but the pain in my heart was about my mother,” he sobbed.

The soft ballad everyone plays for lovers was born in a hospital room while his mom lay bedridden, waiting for surgery. One thought drove every lyric: What if she leaves me?

Aaronx was a wild kid, expelled from schools, locked up with bad gangs. Every time, his mother bailed him out. “She paid everything to the school. She rescued me from prison several times,” he said.

When doctors rolled her into surgery, Aaronx grabbed a pen. The chorus begging “never leave my side” was a plea to the woman who never left his.

He dropped the raw version in 2023. Then Fik Fameica called: Sheebah loves it. The 2024 remix exploded on TikTok, couples lip-syncing lines that were actually Aaronx’s prayer for his mom’s survival. She pulled through. Now every stream reminds him of her strength—and his second chance.
