Jeff Kiwa threatens legal action in the Sheebah, Ava Peace, and Jowy Landa song feud over ‘Nobody’ and ‘No One,’ backed by payment proof.
The brewing conflict over the ownership of Nobody by Sheebah Karungi and No One by Ava Peace and Jowy Landa has taken a dramatic turn, with music manager Jeff Kiwa threatening legal action. Kiwa recently shared a screenshot revealing he paid Shs350,000 to Ronald Kagolo for the track, intensifying the dispute that has Uganda’s music scene on edge.
The controversy gained traction after producer Big Davie broke his silence in an interview, shedding light on the chaotic mix-up. Davie explained that he created the demo for No One alongside lyricist Lyrical Tazzy and voicer Latty Wizzy. According to Davie, Latty Wizzy sold the song to Sheebah for Shs450,000. Unbeknownst to him, Lyrical Tazzy pitched the same track to Jeff Kiwa, leading to its recording as No One by Ava Peace and Jowy Landa. “That’s where the confusion started,” Davie admitted, confirming that the song was unknowingly sold to both camps.
Kiwa’s screenshot, seen by this outlet, serves as proof of his payment and strengthens his claim to the song’s rights. With tensions escalating, Kiwa has vowed to pursue legal measures against anyone challenging his ownership, putting Sheebah’s team on notice.
The overlapping releases of Nobody and No One have sparked a firestorm on social media, with fans divided over who rightfully owns the track. As Sheebah prepares for her The Return of the Queen concert on August 22, 2025, this dispute threatens to overshadow her comeback. Will Kiwa’s legal threat resolve the feud, or will it deepen the rift between these music heavyweights? Uganda’s music fans are glued to this unfolding saga.
