The 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results have been officially released today, March 13, 2026, marking the completion of the national examinations cycle for the year.
In a ceremony held at State House Nakasero, the Minister of Education and Sports and First Lady, Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, announced the outcomes to eager candidates, parents, and educators nationwide.
A record 166,402 candidates sat for the exams across 2,844 examination centers, reflecting a significant increase in participation compared to previous years. This surge underscores growing access to post-secondary education in Uganda.Of these candidates, 77,772 (approximately 44%) were female, while 93,630 (56%) were male.
Encouragingly, female candidates demonstrated stronger proportional performance overall, outperforming their male counterparts in several key areas particularly in humanities subjects and recording lower failure rates at various grade levels.25% of the candidates (42,328) benefited from government sponsorship through the Universal Post-O-Level Education and Training (UPOLET) program, with the remaining 75% (124,074) privately sponsored.
The release follows the earlier announcement of Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results, closing out the 2025 cycle.Successful candidates can now proceed with applications to universities and other tertiary institutions across the country.
Those who may not have met their expectations are encouraged to explore alternative pathways, as opportunities for further education and skill development remain abundant.
Congratulations to all the 2025 UACE graduates—your hard work has paved the way for bright futures!
