President Museveni commits UGX 5B to Uganda’s creatives SACCO during Jazz With Jajja session at Kisozi Farm, offering funds and follow-up talks with Kasuku to empower content creators and digital artists.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has committed UGX 5 billion to support a Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO) set up by Uganda’s creative community. The goal is to improve financial stability for content creators, musicians, digital influencers, and others in the industry.
The pledge was made on March 1, 2026, during the second Jazz With Jajja meeting held at the President’s Kisozi Farm. The session included key figures from Uganda’s creative sector such as Kasuku, Lil Pazo Lunabe, Tamale Mirundi Junior, and others, along with First Lady Janet Museveni and members of the first family.

Creative participants discussed financial difficulties they face. Kasuku, a major figure in the SACCO, explained its purpose of helping members achieve better economic security.
In response, President Museveni announced the UGX 5 billion contribution and arranged to meet Kasuku the following week to discuss the SACCO in more detail.
During the event, Kasuku also congratulated the President on his recent reelection.
This move reflects increased government attention toward Uganda’s growing creative and digital sectors as important sources of youth jobs and economic growth.
