Uganda Police Arrest Two Suspects in Brutal Murder of TikToker Namulinde Diana (Diana Skyz) in Kyanja Apartment

Police at Kira Road Division are actively investigating a shocking case of aggravated robbery combined with murder by strangulation that took place on the night of February 3, 2026, in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division, Kampala City.

The victim has been identified as Namulinde Diana, a 24-year-old businesswoman and popular social media influencer better known online as Diana Skyz. She lived alone in a rented apartment in the Kyanja area and was well recognized in Uganda’s digital entertainment space for her engaging Tiktok videos, lifestyle content and vibrant personality.

Diana Skyz’s lifeless body was discovered on the morning of February 4, 2026, after concerned friends went to check on her. Upon arrival, they found the apartment door open— an alarming sign that prompted them to alert authorities immediately.

A team of homicide detectives and Scene of Crime Officers promptly responded to the scene. They carefully documented the area, collected several exhibits, and recorded detailed statefrom relevant witnesses, neighbors and friends.

• Earlier on February 4, Police arrested a security guard attached to the apartment premises after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen during the incident.
• Some of the recovered items were later positively identified by witnesses as belonging to the deceased, strengthening the link to the crime. As the investigation progressed rapidly, authorities identified three suspects in total. Two of them have already been arrested and are currently assisting police with ongoing inquiries.

Namulinde Diana’s body has been transferred to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for a full postmortem examination, which is expected to provide further details on the cause of death and any additional evidence.

The update comes directly from ASP Luke Oweyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police, who confirmed:

“Police at Kira Road are investigating a case of aggravated robbery and murder by strangulation… The body of the deceased was conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.”

No further details on the suspects’ identities, motives or the exact circumstances of the entry into the apartment have been released yet as the case remains in active investigation.
