Rasta Rob Blesses Zari Hassan’s Marriage to Shakib Lutaaya, Jokes About Past & Shares Life Lessons

Veteran Ugandan DJ Rasta Rob real names Robert Ogwal, once one of Kampala’s most sought-after entertainers and a millennial favorite, has sent warm, humorous well-wishes to his ex-partner Zari Hassan and her husband Shakib Lutaaya in a nostalgic Spark TV interview.

The DJ congratulated the couple on their marriage and playfully hoped they would be blessed with twins – something he and Zari “failed” to achieve during their relationship.

When asked why they never had children together, Rasta Rob delivered the iconic Ugandan one-liner with a laugh: “I was knocked by a sheep and couldn’t handle bedroom issues anymore!”

More seriously, he revealed he now has two children and took accountability for the challenges that contributed to their breakup, without any bitterness.

On the frequently discussed topic of Zari’s age, Rasta Rob showed class and respect: “Zari isn’t that old as people think, however I can’t just reveal her age because I respect her.”

He made it clear that romantic reconciliation is off the table: “I no longer think about restoring our love life. I only think about money and my businesses now, not love.”

Rasta Rob credited his youthful appearance to a clean, disciplined lifestyle:

“I don’t eat fried food, I do exercise, and don’t drink – those three things are the reason why I look this handsome.”
