Ugandan singer Fille Mutoni real name Josephine Namukwaya is reportedly in a serious medical state in a Kampala hospital following complications from a drug relapse.
Late on January 9, 2026, her former partner MC Kats (Edwin Katamba) posted deeply concerning photos of Fille appearing heavily sedated or unconscious, wearing an oxygen mask connected to breathing support tubes. The images, which have since been deleted from his accounts but continue to spread via screenshots, sparked widespread alarm.

Alongside the visuals, Kats shared an emotional plea: “I have tried my best; Help me save Fille” and a strong condemnation: “F*** drugs and whoever got them here.”
In the same post, he accused the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) and president Eddy Kenzo of failing to deliver promised financial support, claiming up to Shs 25 million (Shs 15m for Fille and Shs 10m for him) was never received.
He questioned accountability: “So (UNMF, Eddy Kenzo) you gave Fille 15m n n me 10m Where did we ever get e money. Can govt bring people to account Or u wat grave yards.”
The revelation follows Fille’s recent public interview where she detailed her efforts to stay sober, including cutting off old contacts, avoiding her phone, and isolating herself to prevent relapse.
Fille has long been open about her battles with depression, heroin, cocaine, and the pressures of fame. As of January 09, 2026, no official medical update has been released, and the industry continues to send prayers and support.
