Popular Ugandan artist Fik Fameica is in deep grief following the death of his mother, Jackline Nassimbwa, who passed away on the morning of December 27, 2025, at the age of 51.
Nassimbwa had been battling health issues for several months, leading to frequent hospital visits. Recently, her condition worsened, prompting her admission to Kibuli Muslim Hospital in Kampala for intensive care.
The rapper, visibly heartbroken, had earlier reached out to fans on social media, urgently requesting prayers as her health deteriorated rapidly.
Tragically, she succumbed this morning, leaving the music community in shock. Fellow artists, including dancehall star Karole Kasita, Sheebah Karungi, and Eddy Kenzo, quickly gathered at the hospital and vigil to offer support and condolences to Fik Fameica during this difficult time.
Tributes have poured in from across the Ugandan entertainment industry, with celebrities rallying around the rapper and fans expressing heartfelt sympathy online.
Burial arrangements have been announced: Jackline Nassimbwa will be laid to rest on December 29, 2025, in Luwero Kasana, Buikwe District.
