The “Bad Character” hitmaker, who ran as FDC’s candidate in the Kawempe North by-elections earlier this year, spilled scorching tea about how he tried to bring his then-pal Alien Skin on board for rally performances. Party funds were ready – a cool UGX 3 million per gig, because “we didn’t want to exploit artists; politics hits them too.”
First deal: They met in Munyonyo, Kalifah handed over a 2 million deposit, vibes were high. Next day? Alien Skin nowhere in sight, calls ignored, number blocked. Ghosted!
But Kalifah, ever forgiving, gave him a second chance. “I let the first payment slide, went to his home, even met his mom, paid fresh money for the next rally.” Result? Another no-show!
The singer stayed quiet for months post-elections, but recent provocation – allegedly Alien Skin leaking their private chats amid their beef – pushed him over the edge. “I was angry,” Kalifah admitted.
