Kasuku Tearfully Recalls 2010 Kyadondo Bombing: “Bebe Cool Saved My Life Without Knowing”

Media personality Kasuku broke down in tears while recounting the night that changed Uganda forever: the July 11, 2010 twin bombings at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds during the World Cup final screening.

Kasuku was among thousands packed into the venue when Al-Shabaab terrorists detonated explosives, killing 74 and injuring scores. He revealed that one simple invitation from Bebe Cool unknowingly pulled him out of the direct line of death.

“I was seated with my friends, enjoying the match,” Kasuku said, voice cracking. “Then Bebe Cool spotted me and called me over: ‘Kasuku, come sit here with us.’ I left my group and went to his table right in front.”

“I didn’t even hear the explosion at first,” he continued. “I just saw the screen shaking, people collapsing, smoke everywhere. Bebe Cool was the first to jump and run toward Game Stores. I followed. When I looked back… my friends who were still at our original table were gone.”

Kasuku says he still carries the trauma 15 years later. “Every time I see Bebe Cool, I remember that night. He didn’t know he was saving my life by just calling me to sit with him. God used him that day.”

The emotional revelation has left fans stunned and grateful, with many thanking Bebe Cool for unknowingly becoming a guardian angel during one of Uganda’s darkest hours.
