Jamaican dancehall queen Spice has officially pulled out of her highly anticipated December 6 show at Lugogo Cricket Oval, citing breach of contract by the promoter.
The “Go Down Deh” star was set to headline alongside Ugandan heavyweights Winnie Nwagi, Cindy Sanyu, and Sheebah Karungi in what was being billed as one of the biggest concerts of the year.
In a statement posted on her socials, Spice broke the news to disappointed fans:

“ATTENTION!!! I will NOT be attending this event in Uganda on December 6th. I was truly excited to meet my brothers and sisters there, but unfortunately the promoter did not fulfill the contractual agreements.”

Tickets had already started selling and hype videos were flooding timelines, making the sudden cancellation a major blow to fans and the local lineup.
Organizers are yet to respond, but the drama has already sparked heated conversations online about professionalism in Uganda’s events industry.
