Juliana Kanyomozi Celebrates 44: “My Biggest Glow-Up Is Choosing Peace Over Parties”

As she gears up for her birthday tomorrow, November 27, Uganda’s music queen Juliana Kanyomozi has given fans a rare, honest glimpse into how dramatically her life has transformed over the past 15 years.

The once-unapologetic party girl has officially retired her dancing shoes.

“Back then I was a certified party animal,” she laughed. “Friday at the club, Saturday barbecue, Sunday recovery… that was my rhythm. Now? Complete opposite. My friends invite me out and I’m already crafting excuses. My dream night is tea, a blanket, and a good movie at home.”

Juliana says age has sharpened her boundaries too. “The old me would swallow nonsense and smile. Today’s Juliana will look you in the eye and say, ‘Don’t ever do that again.’ I shock myself sometimes, but it feels right.”

She’s also more intentional about what she lets into her body and spirit — cleaner eating, calmer circles, zero tolerance for drama.

Yet one thing hasn’t changed: her fire for music. What has shifted is the purpose behind it.

“I’m still obsessed with creating,” she revealed, “but now every big decision I make isn’t just about me. You’ll soon see projects that lift younger artists, open doors, and give back. That’s what keeps me up at night — not hits, but how I can help the next generation rise.”
