Rising star Ava Peace has found herself in hot water after posting regal photos of herself on a throne with the caption “Queen Of The New Generation,” instantly igniting claims that she was throwing shade at Sheebah Karungi, Uganda’s long-reigning self-proclaimed queen.
The dramatic pictures, complete with a crown and royal pose, sent social media into a frenzy. Many accused the “Omwana we Buddu” singer of trying to dethrone Sheebah, who has worn the queen title for years.

Speaking to Galaxy TV, Ava Peace firmly denied any beef. “Those were just behind-the-scenes shots from my new video shoot,” she clarified. “I’m not attacking anyone. When I say ‘Queen of the New Generation,’ I mean the generation that vibes with my music — the youth who stream, dance, and support me every day.”

She doubled down on her stance: “This is a new era, things have changed, and I’m the queen of that wave. I’m not stepping on toes. Everyone can be a queen in their own lane.”

Ava added that fans have been calling her queen for a long time, so the title feels natural. “It’s for my people, not against anyone else,” she insisted.
While some fans praised her confidence, others still believe the timing and imagery were deliberate. The debate continues to rage online, but Ava Peace says she’s staying focused on her music and her crown — whichever generation it belongs to.
