Lady Mariam Demands Nobat Events Apologize for Bashing Nyamutoro

Lady Mariam demands Nobat Events apologize for insulting Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, threatens women’s backlash in fiery TV interview.

Western Uganda’s music star Lady Mariam Tindatiine came out swinging on a TV interview demanding an apology from Nobat Events for his verbal attack on Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, Eddy Kenzo’s wife.

Nobat accused the couple of sabotaging him in Packwach and defrauding artists. Mariam called his words disrespectful and gave him days to say sorry or face consequences.

Last week, Nobat blasted Nyamutoro on social media, claiming she and Kenzo cheated artists and vowed to drag them to parliament. Though he later said he’d drop the topic, Mariam wasn’t having it.

“Enough is enough. He has disrespected many, but this time, he’ll learn the hard way. If he doesn’t apologize to Nyamutoro and Ugandan women, we’ll rise,” she said. She urged him to confront Kenzo directly, not his wife.

Mariam described Nyamutoro as a drama-free woman who didn’t deserve the attack. “If you have an issue with her husband, don’t come for the wife,” she said, stressing Nobat’s words were uncalled for. She warned that women are ready to “crucify and beat” him if he doesn’t retract his insults.

Some thought Mariam’s defense stemmed from her UNMF ties with Kenzo or a friendship with Nyamutoro. She shut that down, saying, “I don’t have any relationship with Nyamutoro, but I get angry when someone insults a woman. Apologize and remove her name from your mouth.”
