Rising Ugandan singer Ava Peace tackled comparisons to Sheebah Karungi head-on during a recent interview with a local TV Station. Managed by Jeff Kiwa, Sheebah’s former manager, Ava insists there’s no need for competition. “Everyone can be a star,” she said, stressing there’s room for all in Uganda’s music industry.

Ava bragged about her busy schedule and global style. “I’m one of the most booked artists in Uganda, and these days I don’t wear Ugandan clothes—they’re all from London because life upgraded,” she said. Her hit Omwana We Buddu is killing it locally and online.
The singer shared that she comes from a rich family, so her luxe lifestyle isn’t new. “Don’t be shocked when you see me driving my Benz,” she told fans.
