Spice Diana Says She Didn’t Know Vyroota Was a Singer, Comments on Pallaso’s NUP Move

Spice Diana reveals she didn’t know Vyroota was an artist, backs Pallaso’s NUP join, and shares song theft story with Harmonize.

Ugandan singer Spice Diana shared her thoughts on Pallaso’s recent join to the National Unity Platform (NUP) during a local TV interview. She called it his fresh start and an achievement since they share the same fight for change. “It is his new journey, to me it’s an achievement—we’re in the same struggle,” she said.

Spice Diana explained that she picks her shows with her management’s help. Her packed calendar means no time for campaign events yet. She said artists choose their paths, like switching to politics if they’re tired of music. “A musician decides what they want to do, if he or she is tired of singing and wants to join politics it’s up to them,” she noted. Right now, she’s all in on music and sees no politics in her near future.

Spice Diana furthermore opened up about song theft in the industry. “It happened to me before, my song with Harmonize was stolen, edited and uploaded on YouTube, we arrested the guy and he apologised,” she said. The track “Kokonya” was messed with, but they fixed it.
