The Uganda Cranes electrified Namboole Stadium in Kampala with a commanding 3-0 victory over Guinea at the CHAN 2024 tournament, co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The emphatic win, a stunning turnaround after a 3-0 loss to Algeria in their opener, has reignited the hosts’ hopes of advancing to the knockout stages and sent fans into a frenzy.
Reagan Mpande set the tone in the 35th minute, soaring for a powerful header that sparked wild celebrations under the stadium’s lights. The Cranes’ dominance continued into the second half, with Allan Okello coolly slotting home a penalty in the 62nd minute.
